Pulsations make measurement difficult because the pointer is unstable. A snubber is therefore recommended as soon as the pressure is irregular. Pulsation snubbers must therefore slow the movement of the fluid at the measuring instrument. The instrument is protected by a needle screw which, as it is driven in, restricts the passage of the fluid. This screw can be adjusted during use.
