Temperature probes for portable thermometers

Wide range:

Category: Industrial sensors · Portable thermometers

Full description

• Wide range: • Subminiature or Lumberg connectors All these probes are used mainly with the portable thermometers in the range (data sheets 695-03 to 695-45), and with other instruments fitted with the right connectors. The assemblies are intended for various industrial and food applications. The probes offered are of the penetration, surface or air type and carry standard Lumberg or subminiature connectors. The sensing element is a thermocouple or a thermistor. All these thermistor or thermocouple probes can be used, according to their characteristics, with the portable thermometers. The thermocouple probes can also be used with any instrument having subminiature connectors. The type K thermocouple is a universal thermocouple with a wide measuring range and a fast response. The type T thermocouple is particularly suited to low temperatures. The thermocouples comply with EN 60584/2 and are class 1. The thermistor gives high accuracy over a limited temperature range and over a long cable run. It suits food applications and cold rooms in particular. Connector types: M: subminiature L : Lumberg The probe leads suit the probe's applications and come in various materials: PVC: coiled PVC leads are convenient for ambient temperatures up to +70 °C. FEP and PTFE: these materials are particularly suited to food probes and can be used at sub-zero temperatures. PTFE leads with a steel braid give reinforced protection. Glass fibre (GF): glass-fibre insulated leads are used for specific applications where the lead may be exposed to very high ambient temperatures, up to +400 °C.
