Full description

• All stainless steel • Dry • Ø 100 mm • From -1,000 mbar to 25 bar • Accuracy class 1.6 • Vertical mounting • G 1/2" connection Diaphragm gauges are used mainly to measure low positive or negative pressures of viscous, sedimenting, crystallising or corrosive fluids. By their design, diaphragm gauges are less sensitive to vibration than Bourdon tube gauges and are easier to protect against overload and aggressive fluids. These gauges are made to EN 837-3. Diaphragm gauges are recommended for low measuring ranges. To measure such low pressures, the measuring element is an elastic diaphragm with concentric corrugations that drives the amplifying mechanism through a ball joint. This design gives excellent overpressure protection, because the diaphragm can come to rest against the upper flange. The 1000 series diaphragm gauges withstand an overpressure of 5 times the full-scale value.
