Seals with standard SMS 1145 connections are intended for the food and pharmaceutical industries. They meet the hygiene requirements imposed in those processes.
The stainless steel seal consists mainly of the diaphragm welded to the SMS connection, called the "upper flange", on which the gauge is mounted. It can be supplied with the weld-on ferrule for the pipework and the nut that holds the assembly together. The quick coupling with the welded flush diaphragm makes cleaning easy.
