Series BF – BRF – BUSMF — standard flanged diaphragm seals

Standard flanges:

Category: Industrial sensors · Diaphragm seals

Full description

• Standard flanges: • DN15 (½") to DN 100 (4") For the chemical and petrochemical industries with aggressive, contaminated or viscous fluids Standard flanges from DN 15 (½") to DN 100 (4") to EN 1092-1 (ISO) raised face B1, or ASME B 16.5 (ANSI) raised face RF The three seal series BF, BRF and BUSMF cover diameters from DN 15 (½") to DN 100 (4"), with various diaphragm materials: BF: DN 25 to DN 100, AISI 316 L stainless steel diaphragm, 1" to 4" BRF: DN 25 to DN 100, 1" to 4" The diaphragm covers the whole face of the flange. Wetted part in Hastelloy C 276, or others (see next page) BUSMF: compact flanged seal, DN 15 to DN 50, ½" to 2", AISI 316 L stainless steel diaphragm, or others (see next page) The flange size is set by two parameters, the DN (nominal diameter) and the PN or Class (nominal pressure), the latter having to suit the measuring range of the instrument. To EN 1092-1: DN 40 PN 20 means a DN 40 flange of 20 bar nominal pressure To ASME B 16.5: 1" class 300 for a DN 1" flange of 300 lb nominal pressure The large diaphragm area allows use at low pressures. For chemical processes involving highly aggressive fluids, all parts in contact with the fluid must be made of the same material (BRF model). The uniform material of the diaphragm and of the sealing face gives a perfect seal, good resistance to tearing and excellent temperature performance. INSTRUMENT / SEAL ASSEMBLY The instrument and seal assembly cannot be fitted by the user, because a special assembly requiring evacuation and oil filling must be carried out. When ordering, give the part numbers of the instrument and of the seal to be fitted. The manufacturer assembles every type of seal onto gauges, with or without capillaries, pressure switches and so on.
