It is used mainly for overflow protection, leak detection and protection against dry running of pumps. The NIVASWITCH is simple to use and detects most liquids. It is unaffected by conductivity, fouling, turbulence, flow and air bubbles. The switching point is set by the immersion depth. Compact and hard-wearing, the NIVASWITCH can be tilted and mounted horizontally or vertically. Easy to install, it needs no adjustment or maintenance. It has an operating indicator LED and a function-test system that works with a magnet. The AC, NPN or PNP output can be connected directly to a PLC. As an option, the PKK alarm relays (see data sheet 251-02) or LC1 pass the output signal on as a dry contact.
