Siphons for measuring instruments

• Pigtail and U-shaped models • Stainless steel or steel • To DIN 16282 A siphon greatly reduces the fluid temperature. Particularly recommended for steam. The instrument side is fitted with a swivel connection. The siphon connects directly to the device or to the isolating valve below the instrument. Condensate forms in the siphon and prevents the hot fluid from entering the device. Before commissioning, the siphon must be filled with water. Example of temperature parameters for a steam application: steam at 10 bar = temperature 185 °C With the pigtail siphon in use, the temperature at the measuring instrument is around 80 °C.
