Series PDP — small plastic flow indicator

• Direct reading • All plastic • Materials: PVC, polysulfone, PVDF • Scales: 2.5...1,000 l/h (water), air (Nm³/h), HCl, NaOH, etc. • Option: adjustable contacts The PDP is perfectly suited to continuous flow measurement on air and on neutral, acidic and alkaline liquids. The PDP works on the variable-area principle: the flow of fluid lifts a float in a tapered tube, increasing the flow area. The float rises up the tube in proportion to the flow rate. As standard, these flowmeters come with scales in l/h for water at 20 °C. Ranges are also available for air (Nm³/h), HCl at 30 and 33%, and NaOH at 30% and 50%. See technical data sheet 731-04. Mounting precautions: Variable-area flowmeters must be installed vertically with upward flow. A straight run of 10 x DN upstream and 5 x DN downstream is recommended (minimum according to NF X 10-102).
