Suitable for measuring liquids in tanks, basins and wells. It is also designed for use in small silos holding granulates such as sand or other solids. An essential condition for radar level measurement: the relative dielectric constant (εr) of the medium must be greater than 1.8. The PWRD 85 is an 80 GHz 2-wire radar level transmitter for simple applications with liquids and solids. Non-contact measurement, with no wear and no contamination. Compact and easy to install. Almost unaffected by changes in temperature and atmospheric pressure, and by corrosion and steam. A small dead zone gives good results on small storage tanks. It has a Bluetooth interface, which gives wireless access to the transmitter for convenient configuration and service diagnostics from standard mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets. An LCD display on top allows programming and viewing of the reading.
