Series 6500 — liquid column manometers

Pressure, vacuum or ΔP measurement

Category: Industrial sensors · Specific pressure gauges

Full description

• Pressure, vacuum or ΔP measurement • Inclined tube or U-tube • Measuring range: -6,000 to +6,000 Pa • Neutral gases or air • Electrical contact options The 6500 series devices are vertical or inclined liquid-column manometers for measuring small changes in air or gas pressure, vacuum or differential pressure. They are intended for air handling, ventilation (filter clogging), air conditioning and dust extraction, as well as for overpressure measurement in clean rooms, laboratories and sterile areas. Two product styles are offered: inclined or vertical tube models, and U-tube models. The first type consists of a liquid reservoir and a graduated scale: under pressure the liquid rises in the tube and the scale shows the measured pressure. The second type, the U-tube models, consists of a tube filled with liquid: under pressure the liquid moves in the tube and the reading is taken on the graduated scale. Physical reminder: 100 Pa = 1 mbar. The blue liquid used withstands cold (-20 °C), has a density of 1 and evaporates very little. It is also advisable to change the liquid every year; see the part numbers on the technical data sheet. Some products come with a measuring kit made up of: a 50 ml bottle of blue liquid, 2 m of PVC tube, 2 elbow tubes with seal, 2 red pointers, a measurement information label and fixing screws.
